This is a New York Times bestseller and one that I am finding very, very enlightening.
The book takes you into different patterns of communication and helps you see the different styles ie controlling versus withdrawing (my two favorites), and the issues with each.

Though not new, this book continues to find it’s way onto my coffee table.
Caroline has taken the language of the archetype and applied it to the story of the souls journey, or sacred contract. Essentially what archetypal patterns is the individual working with in this life, which is different for each of us.
She then uses the concept of 12 arenas of life experience, which is similar to the 12 houses/arenas of the astrological chart. She shows how an individual archetypal pattern has the potential to manifest it self. That manifestation can be the positive or the shadow side of the archetype.
Having a strong astrological background, which also deals with the energies or archetypal patterns of the respective planets, is what drew me to Caroline’s work and had me seek training by her as an Archetypal Counselor.
There is not day that goes by that I don’t refer to one archetype or another in the course of my day.
Taking the time and opportunity to dive deeply into yourself and the archetypal patterns that are unique to you is a gift to yourself.
So what can you gain from this book? One gains a greater understanding of the patterns of behavior in all areas of your life so you can see more clearly when the pattern is working for you or against you.
